1946-2025
Virginia Marie (Dugan) Gehlen, 79, retired chef/cook for the Colwich elementary school passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. She was born on February 12, 1946 in Wichita to Maurice & Martha (Zandler) Dugan. Virginia loved baking, gardening and painting. She was a long time member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. Spending time with family was very important to Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Joan. Brothers; Lawrence, Richard and Joe Dugan. Sisters; Doris Ternes, Agnes Doll, Marlene Dugan and Norma Crain. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 59 years; Richard. Children; Sandy Clutter, Thomas Gehlen, Paula (Marc) Edens and Brian (Tiffany) Gehlen. Brothers: Jerome (Sue) Dugan, Louis Dugan and sister-in-law; Kathy Dugan. 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich, Kansas.
