1993-2024
Taylor Wayne Cheek, 31, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at his home in Segovia, Colombia.
Taylor was born January 7, 1993, the son of Joseph and Christi (Miller) Cheek, at Ft. Riley, KS. He grew up in McPherson, KS and graduated from McPherson High School in 2011. He continued his education at Wichita State University, receiving a degree in computer engineering. He worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin and TRC Companies.
He met Julieth Albanez in 2017, and they married on July 17, 2019. Taylor and Julieth welcomed their greatest blessing, daughter Isobel, on November 29, 2023.
Taylor enjoyed traveling. He and Julieth enjoyed trips to Mexico, Belize, Canada, Bahamas, Aruba, as well as Columbia before moving there in February 2024. Taylor was a loving, doting father to Iso. He and Julieth enjoyed taking her on hikes around Colombia and enjoying the nature.
Taylor possessed a remarkable intellect and an exceptional work ethic far beyond his years. He was indifferent to material wealth, finding no true value in possessions. Instead, it was the richness of life's experiences that captivated him, and it was through living fully and embracing the journey that he found his greatest fulfillment.
