1983-2024
Russell Lee Hoffman, 41, of Hutchinson, died December 30, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, with his family by his side. He was born March 1, 1983, in Wichita, to Thomas E. “Tom” and Marilyn K. (Hermes) Hoffman.
Russell graduated from Pretty Prairie High School and received his associate’s degree in Small Business Management / Entrepreneurship from Hutchinson Community College. Russell was a packing specialist at Tyson Foods in South Hutchinson for many years. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially NASCAR - particularly Brad Keselowski - and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. Russell loved spending time with his family and pet chihuahua, Princess. He had a loving and generous spirit that continues even in death, as his organ and tissue donation will touch the lives of as many as 75 people.
On October 11, 2019, Russell married Ebonysheree I. Griffin, in Wichita. She survives.
Also surviving are: his father, Tom Hoffman Sr. (Mary) of South Hutchinson; siblings, Tammy Wiens (Gerry) of Nickerson, Tom Hoffman Jr. (Jeanette) of South Hutchinson, Daniel Hoffman of Hutchinson, Levi Hutchison of Hutchinson; niece, Addison Hoffman; nephews, Dillion Hoffman, Brandon Hoffman (Maia), Andrew Hoffman (Lauren), Tyler Hoffman; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Marilyn Hoffman; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Fowler, and brother-in-law, Floyd Jones III.
Cremation has taken place. Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple St., South Hutchinson. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Attendees are encouraged to wear Chiefs attire.
Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday thru Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Midwest Transplant Network, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
