1934-2024
Roger Lee Haberman, 90, passed away December 20, 2024 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 23, 1934 in Larned; the son of Emil August and Hulda Ruth Boese Haberman. A lifetime area resident, he was a Soil Scientist for the USDA Soil Conservation Service.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. Roger was a proud Kansas State University graduate and longtime alumni.
On December 28, 1957 he married Janice Nicholson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. She passed away in 2000
Survivors include; five daughters, Terri Torres, Salina, Sheri Haberman, Vancouver, Washington, Lori Haldy, Ketchikan, Alaska, Leah (Lee) Gavre, Garrison, Nebraska, and Lisa (Mark) Kimitsuka, Kent, Washington; two brothers, Bob (Elsie) Haberman, Meade and Don Haberman, Lacey, Washington; a sister, Betty (Gary) Hulsey, Larned; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned with Father Ted Skalsky presiding. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 29th at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
