1953-2024
Rodney Lee Kasparek, 71, of Hutchinson, died December 22, 2024, at Hospice House. He was born July 27, 1953, in Hutchinson, to J L and Opal M. (Gaffney) Kasparek.
Rod graduated from Nickerson High School in 1971 and worked at Morton Salt, Jackson Ice Cream, and Haven Mattress until he retired. He enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts, streaming his grandson Tyler’s baseball games, and losing at cards to niece Katie.
Rod is survived by: his children, Lisa Sallee and husband Mike of Nashville, TN, Eric Hornbeck and wife Pippa of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Trey Sallee and wife Shelby, Conner Sallee, Tyler Sallee, all of Nashville, TN; and brother, Terry Kasparek and wife Kathy of Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deborah Housh.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Austin, Texas.
