Richard Grant Ward, 92, of Chase, Kansas, passed away December 24, 2024, at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons.
He was born October 5, 1932, in Bremerton, Washington, the son of Granite E. and Alice M. (Horn) Ward. Richard has resided in Chase since 1994, formerly of Kennewick, Washington. He graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Army. He served from January 31, 1951 until January 1, 1954, during the Korean War. Richard worked for the City of Lyons as an inspector for eleven years. He enjoyed woodworking and watching football.
Richard is survived by his two sons; two sisters, Karen Saap and Nancy Pennigton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike Ward. No services are scheduled at this time.
