Richard D. “Dick” JohnsonMoundridge, KS

Richard D. “Dick” Johnson, 95, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away January 19, 2025, at the Moundridge Manor. He was born January 29, 1929, in Massillon, Ohio, the son of Herman P. and Mary (Holdeman) Johnson.

Dick was a dairy farmer, retiring in 2000. He lived in Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi before moving to Moundridge, Kansas in 2022.

He was a member of Pinecrest Mennonite Church in Stapleton, Georgia.

Dick was united in marriage to Virginia Mininger in 1950 at Walnut Hill, Florida. She passed away March 19, 2001.

He is survived by his daughters, Audrey (Gerald) Giesbrecht of Davisboro, Georgia, and Gail (Nathan) Holdeman of Louisville, Georgia; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia; five sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Mennonite Church, 4272 Mennonite Church Road, Stapleton, Georgia, 30823. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Pinecrest Mennonite Church in Stapleton, Georgia with burial to follow at the Pinecrest Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pinecrest Mennonite Church Building Fund and sent in care of James Funeral Home, 630 N. Main Street, Wrens, Georgia 30833.
