on July 30, 1938 in Anthony, Kansas, the second of eight children. Roger attended
Claflin High School where he met the love of his life, Joyce Sauber. After the two
graduated in 1956, Roger enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served at 29 Palms base.
Roger and Joyce were united in marriage on July 11, 1959, at St. Catherine’s Catholic
Church in Dubuque, Kansas.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at Larned Cemetery, Larned with Alan Mead presiding.
