E. Olen Mitchell, 103, died peacefully December 24, 2024, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. He was born December 9, 1921, in Stuart, OK, to Kenneth Troy and Pearl (Buck) Mitchell.

Kevin Brian Karmann age 57 died the afternoon of December 27, 2024 at his home in rural Yates Center with his wife by his side.

Patty Joan (Johnson) Shahan died on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Abilene Memorial Hospital, Abilene, Kansas. Patty was the 7th child born to Gladys Pearl (Solomon, Hunt) Johnson and Omar Davis Johnson on October 25, 1930 in Herington, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Vera Jane (Johnson) Maybee, Mary Ella (Johnson) Dalton, Lola Maxine (Johnson) Miller, and brothers William Robert (Hunt) Johnson, Chester Clyde (Hunt) Johnson, Delbert Keith Johnson, and Omar Deason Johnson.

William Dale “Bill” Popp, 83, passed away December 29, 2024, at Diversicare of Larned, Kansas. He was born on June 27, 1941, in Hoisington, Kansas, to Salmon and Mollie (Sheck) Popp. On October 26, 1968, he married Melody Davis in Holyrood, Kansas.

Micki D. (McCurdy) Fryhover of Newton, KS passed away on December 26, 2024, following surgical complications at the age of 56.

Charles Franklin Mendenhall III, age 43 died on December 26, 2024, at Hutchinson
Regional Medical Center. Charles was born May 13, 1981, in Wichita, Ks. The son of Charles
Franklin Mendenhall Jr. and Karen Ann (Paige) Gregg.

JoAnn McGlinn, 84, passed away, with family by her side, December 26, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born July 13, 1940, in Bushton to Joseph & Rose (Huslig) Bieberle.

David Lee Stewart, 79, passed away December 27, 2024, at Azria Health in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born June 21, 1945, in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Charles & Naomi (Teeters) Stewart.

Thomas “Tom” Lewis Feist, 85, passed away December 25, 2024, at Ellinwood District Hospital in Ellinwood, Kansas. He was born August 30, 1939, in Great Bend to Leon and Anna (Bieberle) Feist.

Kenneth R. “Ken” Eckrote, Jr., 90, passed away December 26, 2024, at Hester Care Center- Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, KS. He was born February 1, 1934, to Kenneth and Catherine (Connell) Eckrote, Sr., in Darby, PA.

Charles F. Mendenhall III, 43, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. Charles was born May 13, 1981, in Wichita, KS, the son of Charles F. Mendenhall II and Karen (Page) Gregg.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to Amber Mendenhall to help the family with funeral expenses and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
