Mildred Arlene Rupp, 91, of Nickerson, Kansas, passed away December 30, 2024, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson.

Charles B. Schafer passed away peacefully on the morning of December 26, 2024, in Wellsville, Kansas. He embraced life and loved teasing those around him with his infectious-and playfully mischievous-sense of humor. A friendly man with a quick smile, he wanted to put people around him at ease and enjoy the moment.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Joan Harper on Friday, December 27th at the age of 99 years old in Scott City, KS. Having lived independently until just before her death, her strength, courage, and strong will were evident throughout her life. She will always be remembered for her kindness, humility and great love for her family.

Jerrell L. Smith aka "Biology Bob," of Iola, Kansas, passed away at his home on December 28, 2024.

Gerald "Jerry" Anderson passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the age of 70, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 9, 1954, in Iola, Kansas, he was the oldest of three sons to Glen and Suan Anderson. He graduated from Iola High School.

Carol Ann (Smith) Cescon, age 77, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas, on December 22, 2024.

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Betty Jean Haigler, 84 of Humboldt, Kansas passed away at Arrowood Assisted Living on Friday, December 27, 2024.

Randall Kaufman, 80, of rural Windom, KS, died December 24, 2024. Memorial services will be held at First Mennonite Church, McPherson, KS, on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Kevin Michael Emmerich, 66, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at home in Hutchinson, KS. Kevin was born February 1, 1958 in Raytown, MO, the son of Joseph Emmerich and Joan (Appleby) Emmerich.

Julia Marie Bland, 72, died December 24, 2024, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born February 17, 1952, in Wichita, to Charles Robert and Frances Arlyne (Raumaker) Bland.

Viola Marie Schraeder, 101, passed away December 28, 2024, at her home in Great Bend, Kansas. She was born on April 28, 1923, in Pfeifer, Kansas, to Andrew and Catherine (Jacobs) Dome. On April 8, 1947, she married Lee Roy Schraeder in LaCrosse, Kansas. He passed on June 2, 2008.
