Leroy Eilers Jr., 63, of Nickerson, Kansas, passed away on January 3, 2025.
Born on April 10, 1961, Leroy was a pillar of the community, known for his kindness and generosity. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to seeing the world and always went above and beyond to help those around him. Leroy had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time hunting and shing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Leroy Eilers Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and integrity that will forever be remembered. Leroy was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the Island of Oahu. He spent much of his time in the mountains, earning the nickname “Mountain Man.” Leroy remained on the island until he enlisted in the U.S. Army, after which he was deployed to the mainland. There, he dedicated the rest of his life to exploring the Rocky Mountains, as well as enjoying white-water rafting, camping, and hiking.
Leroy is survived by his life partner, Becky Davis; his son, Justin (Crystal) Eilers; and six grandchildren, Brianna (Cobly) Crick, Serenity Schnieder, Mya (Eli) Bourland, Kaylee Bourland, Serenity Grace, and Liam Morgan. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Ophilia Johnson and Weston Crick, along with three brothers, Robert T. Eilers, David W. Silva, and Joe V. Silva Jr.; nieces, nephews, cousins.
Sadly, he is preceded in death by his mother, Kathrine Teresa Eilers; his father, Leroy Richard Eilers Sr, sister Mary Silva, brothers: Michael Silva, John Silva.
