LARRY EUGENE PIERCE
1943-2024

Larry Eugene Pierce, 81, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at his home in Penalosa.

He was born April 20, 1943, at Norwich, Kansas, the son of Carl and Edith Ely Pierce. A lifetime resident of Kingman County he was a volunteer firefighter, an electrician, and a bus driver, all for the city of Kingman; was a Penalosa City Council member; and was a foster parent to many, many children over the years.

Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; and was a member of the Salt City Cowboy Church in Hutchinson.

On June 1, 1964, he married Charlotte Patterson at Kingman; she died Nov. 22, 2019. On May 25, 2021, he married Rosemary Webster. Other survivors include daughters Monica (Jerry) Mart and Leia (Mike) Lawrence; step-sons Chad and Eric Webster; brother Jimmy; sisters Nancy (Cecil) Gillen and Mona (Bob) McCoy; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Larry absolutely loved attending the Salt City Cowboy Church, where he was a member of the Security Team. He also enjoyed many trips to casinos; and loved animals, especially goats, ducks, cats and dogs.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at the funeral home, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Hoosier Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Salt City Cowboy Church.
