JoAnn (Black) Thimmesch
1935-2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, JoAnn Thimmesch, age 89, on Jan 21st 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. A devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great  Grandmother, Sister and friend. She touched countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit.

Born on August 28,1935 in Cheney, KS. JoAnn lived a life rich in love and purpose. She dedicated herself to her family, ensuring that her home was always filled with laughter, compassion, and cherished memories. Her strength and grace were unmatched, and her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was boundless.

She had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.

She is survived by daughters Cindy (Vince) Albert, Tonya Buche, and Linda Ricketts. Grandsons Jon (April) Albert, Jeremy (Michelle) Albert, Justin (Emma) Albert, Colby (Lacey Bolen) Standefer, Drake (Megan) Standefer. Ten Great Grandchildren, Brother Bill (Linda) Black and fur-baby Susie.

Preceded in death by Parents Bill and Pearl Black, Husband Leon Thimmesch, Son Dale, Grandson Tanner Standefer, Companion Duane Wiechman.

Rosary will be held Jan 31st at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be Saturday Feb 1st at 10:30 AM, both at St Anthony’s Church in Garden Plain KS.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St Anthony Ball Park, C/O St Anthony’s, PO Box 275, Garden Plain, KS  67050.

Her love and light will forever be with us, and she will be deeply missed.
