Donald Dean “Don” Reazin, 76, of Ellinwood, Kansas, passed away April 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 19, 1948, in Stafford, Kansas, the son of Melvin Thomas and Elnora (Barber) Reazin. Don graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1966, and in 1970 he graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS, with a bachelor’s degree in history. He played football at Southwestern and was part of the undefeated football team in 1967. Don served in the United States Army from August 6, 1970 until his honorable discharge on March 27, 1972, attaining the rank of sergeant and serving two tours in the Vietnam War. He worked as an automotive and oilfield mechanic and as a farmer. Don was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lyons, Rice County 4-H, and a member of the Salem Church family, Bushton. He enjoyed golfing, and anything his kids and grandkids were involved in. Don loved cars and racing, most recently attending the Indianapolis 500 in 2024. On March 12, 1976, Don was united in marriage with Debra Williams in McPherson, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Debra Reazin of Ellinwood, KS; three children, Tiayah Dimitt of Ellinwood, KS, Tiffany Veatch and husband Chris of Lyons, KS, and Tom Reazin and wife Brandi of Lyons, KS; two brothers, Tom Reazin and wife Ruth of Lyons, KS, and twin brother, Ron Reazin of Aurora, CO; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jan White and husband Wayne of Scranton, KS, Brad Williams and wife Darla of McPherson, KS, Brian Williams and wife Shawna of Galva, KS, and Julie Schwarz and husband Jerome of Grinnell, KS; seventeen grandkids, Cassandra and husband Ethan, Melissa and Adante, Peyton, Michael, Braiden, Troy and Erica, Mary, Kaitlyn, Lizzy, Sammi, Eric, Ashton, Caleb, Sarah, Dakota, and Madison; six great-grandkids, Dominic, Rayden, Maverick, Remmington, Meliante, and Silas; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, LeRoy and Betty Williams; brother, Bob Reazin; sister, Kay Gruel; granddaughter, Kaci Reazin; and great-grandson, Christian. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 11, 2025, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lyons, with Pastor Tom Reazin and Pastor Christine Deeds officiating. Burial will follow at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honor by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Memorial contributions may be given to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lyons or Robert Dole VA, in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
