1975-2025
DeAnne was raised in Alief and spent most of her life in the Houston area. Growing up DeAnne and her family were active parishioners of Notre Dame Catholic Church where DeAnne was educated in the word of the lord and received the sacraments of first Reconciliation, first Communion, and Confirmation. DeAnne carried faith in God her entire life including her final days. She was an outstanding Girl Scout and enjoyed many years of togetherness with her mother as a Scout leader. DeAnne was also an athlete who played softball from T-ball through high school where she earned her way onto All-Star travel teams. DeAnne also excelled with music, which she absolutely loved. In elementary school she learned to play the piano and later joined the Alief Middle School Band to play the trombone. In Highschool she played in the Elsik Mighty Ram Band where she won multiple UIL awards with her trombone. In her free time, she taught herself to play the Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, and Trumpet. DeAnne excelled in academics while attending Alief Schools where she achieved honors program status and graduated from Elsik in 1994. She later attended Texas A&M Galveston, University of Houston, and HCC to earn a business degree. Eventually DeAnne would meet and marry Howard “Rocky” Viveney and help raise a stepson as her own. DeAnne loved spending time with her family especially when it involved being outdoors. She hiked regularly and absolutely loved being on the water and fishing. DeAnne was a great angler. She spent many days on Galveston Bay and beaches which were happy places for her. DeAnne loved animals and owned many pets throughout her life. Always with a dog that would rarely leave her side, but other pets included cats, birds, and occasionally a rabbit. She would rescue any animal that needed it and would volunteer at animal shelters whenever she could. DeAnne truly had a big heart for all of god’s creatures, especially those who needed help.
DeAnne is preceded in death by her husband Howard “Rocky” Viveney, her parents John and Joyce Giesy, Aunt Betty Goodnight, Aunt Darlene Dameron, Uncle Darrel Dameron, Uncle Jack Goodnight, Uncle Mort Terry, and Cousin Karen Carlisle.

DeAnne will be missed by all that knew her.
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord".
Romans 8:38-39
