Daniel “Danny” Paul Mayeske
1962-2025

Daniel "Danny" Paul Mayeske, born on July 12, 1962, in Fredonia, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday January 8, 2025. He was 62 years old.

Danny dedicated 31 years of his life to farming and cattle, working at Bradford Farms from 1994 to 1998, and spent a decade with A-Lert in the canopy and millwright division. He was proud of his work and enjoyed the lifestyle that came with it. An education from the schools in Fredonia helped shape his foundation for lifelong learning.

Danny was known for his kind and welcoming nature, always making others feel at ease. His great sense of humor brought joy to those around him. He enjoyed spending time driving through the countryside, of rural Kansas.

He was united in marriage to Julie Ann Goff on November 27, 1987, in Neodesha Kansas.  Another significant moment in his life was his baptism at Emmanuel Mennonite Church on March 12, 1978.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Julie Mayeske of the home, and their two children, Charell Mayeske of Emporia, Kansas, and Layne Mayeske of Fredonia, Kansas. He is also survived by his siblings: Dwight Mayeske of Fredonia, Kansas, Allen Mayeske of Newton, Kansas, Stanley Mayeske of Fredonia, Kansas, Karl Mayeske of Lakin, Kansas, Janet Giesbrecht of Princeton, California, Linda Wedel of Durham, Kansas, Barbara Schultz of Fredonia, Kansas, and Margaret Jantz of El Campo, Texas.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Neoma Mayeske, as well as his siblings Katherine Schmidt, Lois Hochstetler, and Beverly Mayeske. He is also preceded by his brother-in-law Dale Schmidt and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Goff.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Emmanuel Mennonite Church located at Buxton Road, Fredonia, Kansas, 66736. The funeral service will take place the following day, Sunday January 12, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Danny will be fondly remembered by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
