Charlene ReeveLane, KS

Charlene Reeve, age 80, of Lane, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her home.

She was born on January 24, 1944, to Doyle and Lela (Tomlinson) Christopher, in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Charlene was united in marriage to Harold J. Reeve on July 6th, 1960, in Miami, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with six children.

Charlene retired as the head cook at Central Heights School after 26 years. Prior to this, she worked at the sewing factory, as well as the most important job, being a homemaker.

Charlene found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cooking meals for her family, tending to her garden, and creating beautiful pieces through sewing and crocheting. She also cherished quiet moments spent with a good book, loved spending peaceful moments fishing and watching her favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. Above all, Charlene treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and being a wife and mother was her greatest joy. Charlene's faith was the foundation of her life, and it helped her face challenges with strength and grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Frank, Floyd, Earl, Charlie and Tom Christopher.

Charlene is survived by her husband Harold of 64 years; children, Harold J. Reeve II and wife Beverly, Lauree Waggoner, Timothy Reeve and wife Paula, Christina Reeve, Karin Reeve, Stephen Reeve and wife Samantha, eleven grandchildren and many great- grandchildren; siblings, sisters, Doreen Mann, Helen Forbes, Mary Spencer ; brother, Charles Christopher.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 3rd, 2025, at Lane Cemetery, Lane, Kansas.
