1939-2024
Carolyn W. Conrad, 85, died December 28, 2024, at her daughter’s home. She was born November 17, 1939, in Creston, NE, to Clinton E. and Neva L. (Henry) Polark.
Carolyn graduated from Hutchinson High School and Salt City Business College. She worked at Western Foods, Taco Grande, and was a shelf stocker at Walmart for over 23 years. Carolyn enjoyed bowling, putting together puzzles, diamond art and spending time with her cat, Daisy. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
Carolyn married Michael McCue, together they had three children, they later divorced. She married Woodrow “Woody” Conrad on May 30, 1992, in Hutchinson. They shared over nine years in marriage, prior to his death on December 24, 2001.
Carolyn is survived by: children, Clint McCue of Fort Smith, AR, Torey Lemens and Janet McCue, both of Hutchinson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren of the home, Lindsey and Brylee Squires, sisters, Jacquelyn (Alex) Hawley of New Strawn, Debra Blohm of Hutchinson; several nieces and nephews; and her cherished cat, Daisy.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Woody Conrad; two former-husbands; grandson, Matthew McCue; great-grandson, William “Bob” Lemens-Jackson.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, with Pastor Lisa Simmelink officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 12 to 3 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2024, at Emanuel Lutheran Church.
