1959-2024
Carla grew up in Wichita until moving to Alden, KS. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1977 and moved to Oklahoma City. There she met her life partner, Randy Arbuck and they spend almost 35 years together until his death. In 2018, Carla moved to Hutchinson with her mom to be close to family. Carla was a simple old soul. She loved gardening, music, cookbooks, thrift stores, anything that was country or old looking. She loved canning and she could can. She entered some in the fair and won ribbons. Her beets and canned okra were the best. Carla loved gardening so much she sold lots of her vegetables out of her farm. She called her place Carla’s Garden.
Carla was preceded in death by her partner Randy Arbuck; her mother, Bonnie, and all of her aunts, uncles and grandparents.
She is survived only by her cousins.
A Go Fund Me has been set up to help pay for her final resting place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church, 631 East 3rd Ave, Hutchinson. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
