After this match the standings remain the same with Friends University sitting in 2nd place (3-0-1) and Bethany College right behind in 3rd place (2-0-1).
In the first half, Friends controlled most of the possession while taking a ton of shots early. Their offense kept the Swedes defense on their toes as Jake Goldstien had 5 saves in the half on Friends 15 attempted shots. Not until the 35 minute of the match were Friends able to find the back of the net. Juan Zamora was able to connect with Christian Raffinengo on a header from the right post giving Friends the early 1-0 lead going into the half. For the Swedes, the offense was trying to make something happen taking 6 shots in the half.
In the second half, the trends continued as both teams were playing solid back and forth. This half the Swedes offense started to click and were able to control the rest of the game. They took 8 shots in the half and were able to find the net to tie it all up at 1-1 in the 69th minute of the match. Nathan Asiedu is granted the assist on a free kick finding Joshua Momodu in the box for him to kick it in the net. Friends did not give up as they were pushing until the end, just falling up short thanks to the Swedes defenders making it difficult to create shots.
