The stream advisory for Smoky Hill River issued on March 19 has been rescinded by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
The advisory was issued due to operational issues at the Salina Wastewater Treatment Facility, which according to KDHE, have been resolved. Water sampling testing the bacteria and contaminant levels were also within the normal range and deemed safe for contact.
