LINDSBORG, Kan. — The Lindsborg City Council Monday accepted a $10,730 bid for installation of new sidewalks in Swensson Park leading to features within it. This is a project Parks Director Noah Flores said he’s been working on for some time
Flores said the project will also allow better movement within the park, improve ADA accessibility, and generally improve the aesthetics of the park.
It will extend sidewalks from an existing along Main Street to the Anna Swensson memorial, to the Viking Village Playground, and to another area on the northwest side of the park. The low bid of three received came in just over $4,000 under what had been budgeted.
One item that was to have been discussed during Monday’s Lindsborg City Council meeting was Tabled. This involved a revised employee policy handbook and policies. Mayor Clark Shultz said a question came up during review in regard to weather policies, which is still being worked on.
In light of that, this item was tabled until their next meeting on March 17.
