McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson community is invited to drop off real Christmas trees for disposal from Dec. 25 to Jan. 15 at the McPherson Water Park parking lot at Lakeside Park.
Wayne Burns, City of McPherson Public Lands and Facilities Director shared that the trees will be chipped there every Friday, and the public is welcome to take free mulch from the piles located in the southeast corner of the Water Park parking lot.
Note that trees must be free of all decorations and/or plastic bags before they are placed in the designated bin.
