McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — The McPherson Chamber of Commerce held two ribbon cuttings last week. On Thursday, Sept. 19 a ribbon cutting was held at Brookdale, a Senior Living Community located at 1460 N. Main in McPherson.
The staff at Brookdale invited the community to a gathering to celebrate the recent renovations of the facility.
Brookdale’s Executive Director Karen Krupp shared more.
“This is a day that we have been waiting for such a long time,” Krupp said.
Krupp shared that even though it has been remodeled, the community was beautiful before.
“Our residents and our staff; that’s the heart of our community. That’s what makes it the most beautiful,” Krupp said.
The facility just went through a complete interior and exterior renovation, including new windows and siding, partial kitchen, plus a new water feature in the courtyard.
“We are very proud of our courtyard,” Krupp said. “It’s a very relaxing environment.”
Brookdale McPherson serves the Assisted Living/elderly population, and the staff caters to the care plans that best fit the needs of the residents.
“They are the heart of our community,” Krupp said, describing the residents of the facility, adding, “They’re our family, so we treat them like our family.”
Mayor Tom Brown shared his congratulations with Brookdale on the facility and said there are times when this type of facility is hard to come by in McPherson.
There are currently a few vacancies according to Krupp, so if you have any questions or if you know someone who may be interested in learning more, contact 620-503-3980.
