GREAT BEND, Kan. — The City of Great Bend is advising residents living on Broadway, between Main Street and Cherry Lane, as well as those who live on 24th Street between Main Street and McKinley, to not park on the streets due to the potential weather on Monday night, Feb. 17, and into Tuesday, Feb. 18.
This approach is being tried again in these areas to facilitate more effective and safer snow removal by allowing crews to clear the snow more efficiently. The goal is to minimize the number of driveways blocked during the snow removal efforts. It should be noted that during the main operations, driveways will not be opened. The cooperation of residents in keeping the streets clear and safe is greatly appreciated by the city.
Residents are also urged to be attentive as crew members work to clear the snow. The city apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and extends its gratitude for the public’s patience.
