Among the bid awards from the November letting of the Kansas Department of Transportation were three in Allen and Anderson Counties. All three projects were awarded to Bettis asphalt and Construction of Topeka.
Two of the projects are along US 59, one a 21-mile ultra-thin bonded asphalt surfacing along the entire segment of 59 in Allen County, and a mill and overlay project from the Allen-Anderson county line to the US 169 junction south of Garnett.
The project on 169 is a mill and overlay from the Allen-Anderson County line to just north of the K-58 junction near Colony.
Combined cost of those projects came to just over $7 million.
