RENO COUNTY, Kan. — This has been a record-breaking year for the Reno County District Attorney Toys for Tots Drive. Three boxes were filled with toys this year, resulting in 819 toys collected and an additional donation of $150.28 cash. They also collected 126 winter hats, two scarves, three ear warmers, five blankets and two pairs of socks for those in need this winter.
The winner of the DA’s Traveling Trophy was Public Works with 290 toys collected. The DA thanks its partnerships with Heartland Credit Union, South Hutchinson Police Department, and Matt Mock’s 1st Annual UTV Food and Toy Drive.
Next year will be the 25th Anniversary of the District Attorney’s Toys for Tots Drive, and the DA office is gearing up for it early and is planning many activities associated with it. The 2nd Annual South Hutch UTV Food and Toy drive will also be held Nov. 22, 2025, at the South Hutch Community Building. Because finances can get stretched around the holiday season, the DA will supply any County Department or other participating agency with boxes in advance so the purchase of toys can be spread throughout the year. Let them know if you want boxes.
