NORTH NEWTON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Despite a strong offensive showing, the Bulldogs were unable to leave North Newton with a win as they fell to Bethel College 6-3.
Caitlin Buendia continues to shine as she scored a pair of goals in the 9th minute and 58th minute of the contest to bring her season total to eight. Gracie Speltz scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the 81st minute.
Beth Lloyd led the way for the Threshers as she scored two goals in the game, bringing her season total to five. Goalkeeper Victoria Esquivel recorded four saves to keep the Bulldogs from doing more damage on the scoreboard.
McPherson will return to Paul Family Field for their next matchup against Southwestern College on Saturday, October 12. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
