McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — The McPherson College Bulldogs and the Bethany College Swedes battled to a 0-0 draw Wednesday night (Oct. 16) at McPherson Stadium.
Neither team was able to generate much offensively with both sides held to just four shots on goal. Four different Bulldogs finished with a shot that found the target, as Gracie Speltz, Lauren Machado, Aspen Obermeyer, and Gabrielle Martin each had a shot on goal.
The Swedes seemingly scored late in the contest when Bianca Carreon found the back of the net, however BC was called offside, keeping the game scoreless.
From there, the Bulldogs had a pair of scoring chances, but shots by Machado and Speltz were stopped by Mackenzie Nutter.
Elizabeth Scheuerman kept the Swedes off the board, making four saves.
The Bulldogs will make the long trek to Springfield, Mo., to take on Evangel University. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 19).
