SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (MacBulldogs.com) — The Bulldogs were unable to complete the road test on Saturday afternoon (Oct 19) as they fell to the Evangel University Valor by a final score of 2-0.
Gracie Speltz recorded the only shot on goal for the Bulldogs in the 17th minute, but the shot was saved by the Evangel goalkeeper, Rylee Clapp. This served as the only shot the Bulldogs had throughout the contest. Elizabeth Scheuerman, despite the two goals surrendered, had a strong showing with nine saves made in the contest.
Makayla Myers got Evangel on the board first in the 47th minute to make it 1-0 while Dajah Boykin knocked home a penalty kick in the 88th minute to make it 2-0 and secure the win.
McPherson returns to action on Wednesday, October 23 for another road matchup against York University. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
