LINDSBORG, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The Bulldogs were unable to secure a win against their cross county foe as they fell to the Bethany College Swedes on Wednesday (Feb 5), 73-54.
Offensive woes that have haunted MC all season once again reared its face as the Bulldogs were held to 29% shooting from the field in the first half and 12% from behind the three point line while also committing 12 turnovers. The Swedes had no issues scoring the ball as they hit 45% from the field and 40% from three point land as they took a 40-22 lead into halftime.
Bethany continued to hound the MC offense, forcing the Bulldogs into 20 turnovers overall and holding MC to a 37% shooting effort. The Swedes really pushed their lead out to an insurmountable margin in the third quarter where they shot 57% from the field and hit a pair of three pointers to send the Bulldogs to 0-23 on the season and 0-17 in KCAC play.
The Bulldogs return to Holman Fieldhouse for the first of three straight games at home as they host the Saint Mary Spires on Saturday, February 8. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
