PARK HILLS, Mo. (BlueDragonSports.com) – The Hutchinson Community College volleyball team had a tough weekend at the Cardinal Classic at Mineral Area College, dropping two matches on Saturday.
The Blue Dragons pushed No. 13 Missouri State-West Plains in all three sets in the first match on Saturday, but Hutchinson lost 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.
The Dragons then closed out the weekend with a three-set loss to host Mineral Area, 25-19, 25-18, 25-23
The Blue Dragons drop to 12-17 overall after completing the weekend 0-4 with two of those losses to nationally ranked opponents.
Statistics for Saturday’s matches weren’t available.
Hutchinson jumps right back into Jayhawk Conference play on Monday, playing host to Garden City at 6 p.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
