— CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE ATHLETICS RELEASE —
McPherson, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – August 1st, 2024 – Central Christian College of Kansas Athletics Director, Kyle Moody, has announced that the Tigers have hired Tyler Swanson to be the next Director of Sports Information. Swanson will take over for long time SID, Jeremy Nelson, who resigned in late May.
Swanson is a 2020 graduate of CCCK with an undergraduate degree in Sport Management. He came back to CCCK last summer, joining the athletic department as a Graduate Assistant, helping out Nelson in the Sports Information Department. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Strategic Leadership with plans on graduating in December.
Swanson commented, “I want to thank Athletic Director Moody and President Favara for this opportunity to lead the Sports Information Department. I look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of our student-athletes as well as our athletic programs!”
When asked about Swanson’s hiring, AD Moody said, “As a former golfer and Tiger alum we are excited to bring on Tyler full time.”
Swanson, a native of Corsicana, Texas, played golf for the Tigers during his time as an undergrad. He is set to take over full responsibilities of the department effective immediately.
