STERLING, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – KCAC Women’s Basketball Offesive Player of the Week
Korynn Clason had yet another standout week leading the Warriors offensively, scoring a combined 60 points throughout both of Sterling’s wins. Against Bethel, Clason had 34 points, shooting 54.5% from the floor, including 66% from beyond the arc and a perfect 100% from the charity stripe. She also contributed three rebounds, two steals and an assist in the victory over the Threshers. On the road in Bartlesville, Clason used her offensive prowess to help her team extend an early lead. She totaled 26 points, shooting an impressive 62% from the field. She also led her team in rebounds with seven, while contributing two steals and an assist. This is the fourth time this season Clason has been named the KCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
NCCAA DI Women’s Basketball Student Athlete of the Week
Korynn Clason averaged 30 points per game for Sterling College this past week, shooting an efficient 58.0% from the field and 60.0% from behind the arc. The senior from Cambridge, Nebraska started the week with 34 points against Bethel College (Kan.) and scored 26 more against Oklahoma Wesleyan University, as Sterling went 2-0 on the week. Clason was great at the free-throw line as well hitting 13-of-14.
