McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – Charles Snyder scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to their fifth win in the last six games Wednesday night (Jan. 22), knocking off Sterling College 94-79 inside Holman Fieldhouse.

Collin Storr added 20 points, and came up one rebound shy of his third straight double-double, grabbing nine rebounds. Curtis Rose and Tarrance Austin each finished with 15 points, while Austin pulled down eight rebounds.

MC had their way inside, scoring 52 points in the paint compared to just 34 for the Warriors. The Bulldogs finished with 17 second chance points, thanks to ten offensive rebounds.

The Bulldogs got off to a slow start, allowing Sterling to jump out to a 23-14 lead midway through the opening half. However, MC turned it on using a 12-2 burst that included eight points from Snyder to take a 38-32 lead with just under four minutes to play in the half. The Bulldogs led 45-41 at the break.

MC put the pedal down to open the second half, scoring on their first four possessions, forcing a quick timeout from the Warriors. Sterling closed the gap to two points twice in the second half, but the Bulldogs had an answer each time.

On the other side, Mooch Austin led the Warriors with 24 points, while Julian Smith added 21 points, 11 rebounds, and a pair of blocks. Jayden Garrison finished with 17 points despite going 0-for-7 from beyond the arc.

MC is back in action Saturday (Jan. 25), when they travel to North Newton, Kan. to take on Bethel College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
