KSHSAA Regional wrestling meets were held in southeast Kansas on Saturday. In Class 4A at Labette County, the Chanute boys qualified seven wrestlers for the 4A State Tournament to be held at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina on February 28 and March 1. Kale Pratt from Iola was also a State qualifier for eight total from the Ad Astra Radio area.
The 3-2-1A Regional in SEK was hosted by Fredonia. Regional champions included: Landon Higgins, Jayhawk-Linn (106#), Denton White, Jayhawk-Linn (126#) and Seth Welch, Erie (150#). 15 total area wrestlers are headed to the 3-2-1A State Tournament to be held at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays on February 28 and March 1.
