McPHERSON, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – The return of Drew Schrader from injury was a big one as his goal was the difference in the Tigers SAC Opener. Play started off with Panhandle coming out aggressive getting off 2 quick shots at goal, but a save by Timothy Foster led to a quick return and goal by Nicholas Arenare’s 2nd goal of the season in the 9th minute assisted by Joan Muncharaz. Panhandle’s Ayoup Bader scored an equalizer in the 41st minute to send the game to halftime with a 1-1 score. The 2nd half as in most matches this season were dominated by the Tigers as they were able to outshoot the Aggies 7-3. Drew Schrader came off the bench to spark the Tigers attack, and scored his huge goal in the 74th minute, his 2nd of the season, and was assisted by Conner Rodgers. The 82nd minute had an insurance goal by Grant Adams, his 2nd of the season, assisted by Marco Cherchi. Timothy Foster had 3 saves at goal for the Tigers.
The Tigers (5-3-1) look to continue their winning ways at home on Tuesday versus Wayland Baptist (5-4, 0-1). Kickoff is slated for 7:30pm, and can also be seen on the SAC Sports Network.
