McPHERSON, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – The Sterling Warriors faced off with the McPherson Bulldogs at 7:30 pm. The Warriors only played one goalie for the 90 minutes, and the Bulldogs utilized two.

Sterling had fewer opportunities to shoot at the goal than McPherson did as they put up a solid defense and made the Warriors move on every play. Although the Warriors were unable to clutch the conference win, they did come to play.

Before the first 30 minutes of the game, the Bulldogs had four goals. After they went on a run the Warriors found it in them to put a stop to their back-to-back scoring. In the second period, Lawn Sangzuala scored Sterling’s only goal, assisted by Daniel Stone. This was Sangzuala’s 4th goal for the season.

The ending score of the game was 1-10 McPherson. Marcelo Fuentes had eight saves in his 90 minutes for Sterling. Sangzuala had the most shots attempted in that match.

Next, the Warriors will play Oklahoma Wesleyan away on Saturday at 8 pm.
