SALINA, Kan. – Senior Ty Adkins carded a 68 Tuesday, winning individual honors at the Salina Central Invitational, leading Hutchinson High to a team victory as well.
Adkins was the only golfer to shoot under 70 and just one of two in the tournament to go under 75.
The Salthawks shot a 304, beating by eight strokes. Topeka was a distant third with a 339.
Five other Salthawks finished in the top 20, including junior Winston Johnson (tied for third, 75); sophomore Mitchell Rice (tied for seventh, 80); junior Brody Ummel (tied for 12th, 83); junior Roman Kulick-Hart (tied for 14th, 84); and junior Trae England (tied for 18th, 86).
