WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – Cynarah Rodriguez has been named KCAC Setter of the Week after helping the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record this past weekend at the Park University tournament, the league announced Monday (Aug. 28).
“Cyn did a great job this weekend,” head coach Cory Cahill said. “She worked hard and helped our team see success. I’m excited to see her continue to make an impact!”
The Amarillo, Texas native finished with 18 assists in a 3-0 sweep over St. Ambrose University. She followed that with a season-high 42 assists in a five-set thriller that saw the Bulldogs win 3-2 over Morningside University. Rodriguez then recorded 28 assists against sixth-ranked Park University.
Additionally, Rodriguez recorded 30 digs over the weekend, including a 4.67 digs per set performance in the win over SAU.
The MC setter now ranks fourth in the KCAC with 6.93 assists per set.
The Bulldogs are hit the road this weekend for the Bellevue Tournament. The team will square off against Lindsey Wilson on Friday, before taking on Missouri Valley and Grand View.
