COLBY, Kan. (KJCCC.org) – Following a pair of NJCAA Region 6/9 wins last week, Neosho County women’s soccer players Olivia Gibson and Bristel Entwistle have earned their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors.
Olivia Gibson (Neosho) – Gibson scored four goals last week to lead the Panthers to a pair of wins in Region 6/9 play as Neosho currently leads the Region 6/9 standings with a 4-1-0 mark in the region. With 10 goals this season, Gibson ranks 10th in NJCAA Division 2 in scoring and 24th in points with 20 total points.
Bristel Entwistle (Neosho) – Entwistle posted a pair of shutouts in goals for Neosho to help the Panthers take the top spot in the NJCAA Region 6/9 standings. Four of the six games that Entwistle has played in net have equated in shutouts this season to rank fifth in NJCAA Division 2 while her goals against average of 0.40 ranks sixth nationally.
