OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (GoNeosho.com) – With their second game of the season the Panthers take on the #1 ranked national champion. The game started well for the Panthers, holding Iowa Lakes to 0-0 through the first half and creating many chances that couldn’t be put away. Going into the second half Neosho lasted 12 minutes before conceding a penalty and going down 1-0. Just 11 minutes later Neosho takes another blow and Iowa Lakes is leading 2-0. Zak ElHannach gave Neosho hope late in the second half with a stunning free kick that made the score 2-1. Unfortunately, the Panthers couldn’t hold on and went down another in the 86th minute to make the score 3-1. With the Panthers headed into a bye week they are looking to rest and recover for their first conference game at Pratt Community College on Saturday, September 7th, kickoff at 4pm.
