EDMOND, Okla. (CCCTigers.com) – The Central Christian Men’s Soccer Team (4-3-1) fell to NCAA Division 2 foe Oklahoma Christian (3-2-2) in their final game of non-conference, before they open SAC play this Saturday, by a score of 5-2. OCU’s Igor Caballero notched his 1st career hat trick, in a game where the Eagles attacked the Tigers at goal with 12 shots at goal to the tigers 2 in the 1st half and outshot the Tigers 20-8 overall. With the Tigers down 2-0, Grant Adams was able to get a quick goal 11 seconds later, assisted by Marco Cherchi, to make the score 2-1. OCU was able to put 2 more goals through to go into half to put the Tigers down 4-1. The Tigers were able to play a pretty even 2nd half with the Eagles, but Johnny Rodriguez’s goal assisted by Conner Rodgers late in the match was not enough as the Tiger fell 5-2.
The Tigers play next opening up SAC competition at home on Saturday vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State (2-3-1). Kickoff is set for 7:30pm, and can be seen on the SAC Network.
