LINDSBORG, Kan. (BethanySwedes.com) – The Bethany College Men’s Soccer team played against Southwestern College in their second conference game of the season.
The wet weather conditions would make this an interesting game as both teams are prone to mistakes. In the first half the moundbuilders would take start strong in attack and while finding it difficult to break the deadlock, they would eventually do so at the 25th minute. A second goal would come in not long after from set-piece play. The score would be 2-0 in favor of the Moundbuilders at the half.
While the Swedes emphasized attack much more and began shooting with more urgency, the moundbuilders would assert their dominance by scoring 5 more goals in the second half. However, one keeper error allowed Gaving Bellomy to shoot from the distance and get one back for the Swedes. The game would en 7-1 in favor of the moundbuilders with the Swedes still looking for the first home win of the season.
