SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (MacBulldogs.com) — A late goal by the Bulldogs was not enough to spark a comeback as MC was defeated on the road by the Evangel Valor on Saturday afternoon (Oct 19).
Both defenses stood strong all of the first half but neither team was able to break through as it remained 0-0 at the halftime break. The scoreless contest was finally broken by Evangel in the 74th minute by Andrea Fincato and was accompanied by an Amari Forbes goal in the 81st minute to make it 2-0.
The Bulldogs struck right back as Zane Sullivan scored his fourth goal of the year in the 82nd minute to cut the lead down to one and brought hope right back to MC. However, the Bulldogs were unable to get another shot at the goal and fell on the road.
The Bulldogs stay on the road as they take on York University on Wednesday, October 23. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
