ATLANTA, Ga. (PittStateGorillas.com) – Pittsburg State University senior guard Grace Pyle garnered NCAA Division II All-America honors from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) today (Mar. 19).
Pyle, who was selected to the honorable mention All-America list, becomes the 10th player in program history to earn All-America honors, the first All-America recipient since Mikaela Burgess in 2017-18.
The All-America achievement comes after Pyle received first-team All-MIAA honors for a second straight year and All-Central Region honors the past two seasons as well. Pyle also was selected to the All-Tournament Team for the MIAA Postseason Tournament and the NCAA Central Regional.
The McPherson, Kan., native is averaging 16.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists a game this season. She has converted 88 of 246 (.358) 3-point field goals, averaging 2.5 3-pointers per game.
For her career, Pyle has played in 112 games for the Gorillas. She has compiled 1,603 points (14.3 ppg), 544 rebounds (4.9 rpg) and 296 assists (2.6 apg); and she’s converted 255 career 3-point field goals. She ranks eighth all-time at Pitt State in scoring, fourth in 3-point field goals and 10th in assists.
