McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The Bulldogs found themselves on the wrong side of an offensive explosion as they were downed at home by the Tabor College BlueJays on Wednesday (Jan. 29), 91-51.

Tabor ranks as the top defense in the KCAC, allowing the fewest points per game in the conference. This was on full display in the first half, holding the Bulldogs to just 33% from the field and 16% from three. The BlueJays were also able to bring the thunder on offense with some lights out shooting as they hit six three pointers, three of them coming from Lillie Veer. Tabor’s strong defense and red hot shooting gave them a 45-21 lead at halftime.

The hot shooting continued for Tabor as they ended the game with 12 made three pointers on 23 attempts, good for a 52% clip. While Tabor stayed hot, MC could not get into a groove as they finished the day shooting at a 40% clip and made just two of their 10 attempted three point shots. The Bulldogs fall to 0-21 on the season and now sit at 0-15 in KCAC play.

Laura Guillamat-Ribo scored a team high 10 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting effort. Gillian Rodgers chipped in a strong effort as well, scoring eight points.

The Bulldogs return to the road as they play the first of two straight road games as they take on the Ottawa Braves on Saturday, February 1. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
