McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The Bulldogs finished off their three game homestand on Wednesday (Jan 22) but found themselves on the wrong end of the final score as they fell to the Sterling College Warriors, 99-51.

Sterling set the nets on fire in the first quarter, hitting 68% of their shots from the field while also converting 85% of their free throw attempts. MC failed to replicate that for their offense as they hit just 21% of their shots. While the offense woke up a bit in the second, Sterling just kept rolling. The Warriors grew their lead to as much as 29 points as they took a 48-26 lead into halftime.

It remained all Sterling in the second half. Thanks to a third quarter in which the Warriors shot a remarkable 70% from the field, they continued to put the hammer down. No offense produced by the Bulldogs was enough as they drop their 19th straight contest of the season.

Taylor Berkheimer hit a trio of three pointers as her 11 points led MC. Raeghan Borman chipped in an additional nine points.

The Bulldogs will hit the road to North Newton as they take on the Bethel College Threshers on Saturday, January 25. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
