“This was a hard loss for our team,” said Coach Destiny Espinoza. “We had moments with our serve that were effective but could not put it all together to build the momentum we needed. We learned a lot from this game and are looking forward to making adjustments for the rest of the season.”

“B team battled hard against Emporia but came up a little short,” said Coach Amelia Broadfoot. “We had great hustle and communication. Hadley Bradley had 11 aces in the final set. We are excited to play again on Monday in Haysville.”

Defeated Emporia: 25-16, 25-22, 25-14
“The Bullpups played a “best of five” match at Emporia today and came away with a big win,” said Coach Christine Pianalto. “Our girls served strong and put a lot of pressure on Emporia’s serve-receive, which earned us a lot of points.”

Defeated Emporia: 25-17, 23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-10
“The girls put together their best match of the season thus far,” said Coach Tami Malm. “It was not an easy environment but the girls battled and pulled out the win. It was a total team effort tonight.”
