McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – For the second straight week, the Bulldogs are represented in the weekly conference honors as Levi Betts secures his first career KCAC Pitcher of the Week recognition.

Betts got the starting nod in game two of the series against the Evangel Valor on Sunday (Feb. 23) and he did not disappoint. After surrendering two runs in the first inning, The senior from Missouri recovered exceptionally and put in five strong innings of work. Betts ended the day surrendering just three hits, two earned runs, and one walk. He also recorded five strikeouts, tying his season high, as he secured his second win on the young season.

“Levi bounced back from a shaky start and gave our offense a chance to get going and give us a lead. From there, he took care of the rest,” Head coach Chris Dawson said. “This is the Levi we have expected this year. If he can continue to give us starts like he did on Sunday, we will be in a great place as a team moving forward.”
